To me, letter writing is a deeper way to connect with the people that you love. I’ve always seen letter writing as a more romantic gesture. Typically in films, that is how letter writing is portrayed. I would watch all of the Disney princess movies and wonder when I’d receive a letter from a far off prince confessing his admiration for me. That day still has not come, but I can be hopeful. This is the only reason I wish letter writing to come back into fashion. Not really, but It would be so nice to receive and write letters to me friends and be able to truly express how I feel since there is only so much spoken word can say. Writing letters is such a heartfelt and wholesome way to share how you feel and I believe someone, if not me, should bring back this art. During this course, I am especially excited to grow as a writer, since I would love to be taught new techniques to make my writing stronger. I am also very excited to read letters from the different turning points throughout history. These letters are incredibly important for not only writers, but for everyone to hear due to their profound impact. Despite all of this, I am concerned about being judged by others for my writing. I would love to eventually become more confident and be able to share my writing with other without any worry.
